Marketing Executive

Strongdor is recruiting for an exciting position of Marketing Executive to join the fast-paced team, based in Carnforth near Lancaster.  

No two days are the same at Strongdor, from working on quirky social media campaigns to organising events, right through to running competitions to name the Strongdor teddy!  We strive to achieve the perfect balance between corporate professional brand, following guidelines and corporate principles, whilst ensuring all our marketing content is engaging and fun. 

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about marketing and will act as a brand champion for the brand guidelines. In particular, we are looking for someone who has a flair for content creation for both digital and offline uses.

Job Description:

  • To assist with the creation of social media content. 
  • To assist in the implementation of giveaway campaigns including sending out goodie boxes and prizes 
  • Create compelling content for marketing collateral and digital activities 
  • Work closely with freelancers and agencies to assist in the delivery of projects 
  • Research and purchasing of branded promotional items and gifts 
  • Monitor the marketing inbox and respond to internal and external requests for imagery, brochures and customer support 
  • To respond to reviews and social media comments as required  
  • To create new website content including blog posts and landing pages, training can be provided on the use of the website
  • Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns 
  • Have a creative mindset and share ideas for experimental marketing programmes designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand 
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of customer surveys and market research in order to inform the marketing strategy  
  • Create succinct and targeted email marketing campaigns in collaboration with designer and colleagues
  • To assist in the creation of promotional materials and simple design changes. Training can also be given for this element
  • To assist the Head of Marketing and the team in administrative tasks as required for example hotel bookings, arranging meetings and data entry
  • Update and follow the promotional plan set out in the strategy, ensuring campaigns and activities are undertaken in a timely manner


Essential Experience:

  • Min 2 years experience in a marketing role  
  • Excellent copywriting skills with experience in creating articles, press releases and brochure copy 
  • Excellent written and proofreading skills 
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills  
  • Strong communication and organisational skills 


Desirable Experience – These are the things that you don’t need to have but would be an extra bonus if you have 1 or 2 of them! 

  • Experience in using Google Analytics 
  • Ability to set up and run paid advertising i.e. Facebook Ads, PPC and other platforms  
  • To have a passion for SEO (Search engine optimisation) with experience in pro-active SEO campaigns  
  • Basic photoshop skills for the creation of social media graphics or small literature amends  
  • Video or photography skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or B2B marketing role
  • Marketing qualification

Hours are: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (07:30-16:30) and Wed (07:00-16:00)


Salary: £21,500 - £24,000
