Finance Manager

Strongdor Ltd is a growing manufacturing business that produces and distributes high-quality steel doors for the commercial market. The rapid growth achieved in previous years is forecast to be maintained into the future.

 Your responsibilities

  • Preparation and ownership of monthly and annual management accounts and board packs with all supporting accounting schedules, adjustments and reconciliations including stock and taxation.
  • Investigating financial statement variances.
  • Supporting the finance control function with audit deliverables.
  • Supporting the finance control function in the budgeting process.
  • Supervise a team with indirect responsibility over sales, purchase and general ledgers
  • Support finance control function with credit risk management.

  • Ability to manage and work in a team, maintaining a positive professional demeanour.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Technical ability in both finance and IT.
  • Attention to detail, risk assessment and problem solving.
  • An understanding of how financial management contributes to corporate structure, strategy and objectives.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Other requirements

  • ACCA/CIMA Qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn, with energy and flexibility to implement new process is essential given the dynamics of growth.
  • Driving licence and access to a car advantageous given location.

Hours

Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (7:30 am - 4:30 pm) and Wed (7.00 am - 4.00 pm)
