Louvidor - Blue Cross Animal Centre, Ipswich
Opened in 2016, the new Blue Cross complex in Wherstead near Ipswich was designed to meet the needs of sick and homeless pets. Light and spacious, the animal rescue centre is capable of caring for 80 puppies in a new unit, while doubling the charities capacity in the Suffolk area.
Air circulation and security were primary concerns in the design of the buildings. Protecting vulernable animals while maintaining good ventilation, meant that the architects looked to louvred door panels to satisfy both needs.
The ideal solution was reached with Strongdor’s high quality, louvred door panels that allow for up to 50% airflow. In this case, the panels were fitted to Steeldor double and single doors without effecting the levels of performance or high standards of quality.
Manufactured to order and exquisitely finished, these versatile door-sets are easy to fit and are supplied complete with frame and fitted hardware.
