Strongdor were proud to support UBI Solutions with the delivery of high-performance steel doors for a critical infrastructure project at Willesden Junction. As specialists in precision-engineered shell systems, UBI needed reliable, compliant doors that could be integrated quickly and seamlessly into their modular builds.
UBI’s systems are built to 0.2mm tolerances, and Strongdor’s flexible expanding frame system made installation straightforward, a major advantage after challenges with previous suppliers. UBI opted for a personal standard height door set with a compatible over panel to ensure the structural opening was not compromised, providing a perfect fit within their shell system. The inclusion of a complete fixing kit also boosted efficiency on-site.
The Willesden Junction building, originally installed four years ago, suffered water ingress, compromising its structure despite internal components still performing well. UBI’s solution expanded usable space and improved protection for critical signalling and power infrastructure. Strongdor’s doors matched the clean and secure aesthetic of typical rail environments, while meeting all quality and compliance requirements.
Following the success at Willesden, Strongdor are delighted to be working with UBI Infrastructure on future projects… watch this space!
Founder of UBI Infrastructure, Ross Chipperfield, commented: “It was impressive at the time, but after visiting the factory and getting a follow-up call from Elliott, it stood out even more.”
We’re proud to support UBI with products that match their engineering standards and values, and we look forward to future collaboration.
