Strongdor are pleased to have recently supplied a SR2-rated double door to SSS Industrial Doors for a substation project, designed to meet both security and ventilation requirements.
The installation incorporated integrated louvre panels within the door set, along with additional side and high-level louvres. This configuration was carefully designed to promote consistent and effective airflow throughout the substation. This configuration helps to manage heat buildup, which supports the performance and longevity of critical equipment. By allowing natural ventilation at both low and high levels, the system encourages a continuous flow of air while maintaining the integrity and security of the structure.
A key factor in the project’s success was the thorough approach taken during the survey phase. Detailed site assessment, accurate measurements, and consideration of both security and airflow requirements ensured that the solution was tailored exactly to SSS Industrial’s requirements for their installation site environment, allowing for a seamless installation process
Jordan Mcclelland, Technical Surveyor from SSS Industrial Doors said, “From the initial enquiry through to final installation, this project was defined by a strong focus on coordination, precision, and attention to detail at every stage. Careful planning and organisation of our engineering team ensured the works were executed efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
Equally important was maintaining clear and consistent communication with our client throughout. Providing regular updates and transparency at each phase of the project ensured expectations were aligned and confidence was maintained from start to finish—delivering not only a high-quality installation, but a professional and reliable service throughout.”
