Strongdor is proud to spotlight the people who help shape our customer-first reputation. In this feature, we meet Emily Ward, a Marketing Project Coordinator who plays a key role in making the specification process smoother for our clients.
How long have you worked at Strongdor?
I joined Strongdor in March 2024. It already feels like I’ve been here much longer, in a good way!
What is your role at Strongdor?
As a Marketing Project Coordinator, my focus is on making life easier for the specifier. That means helping to create tools, resources, and campaigns that support the technical decision-making process behind our doors.
What do you love most about working at Strongdor?
There’s a lot I love about working here, but two things stand out:
A Shared Sense of Victory
Every time we hit a goal, whether it’s in sales, marketing, or specification, everyone shares in the win. The energy in the office is always high, and that makes coming to work genuinely enjoyable.
A Culture of Involvement
Strongdor has a collaborative, hands-on environment. During our campaign for the 101 brochure, we had a friendly wrapping competition between teams. That kind of fun competition adds energy and brings people together.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I'd love to learn how to play golf; being outdoors in the afternoon really appeals to me. That said, my eight-year-old son beat me at crazy golf recently, so I might not be headed for the pro tour just yet.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Busy – I’m a mum of two, we run a football team, and we manage a second business. Life is full-on, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Adaptable – It’s essential in marketing, where plans and priorities shift fast.
Passionate – About work, about people, and about doing things well. I think anyone who’s worked with me would agree.
