Strongdor is proud to spotlight the people. In this feature, we meet Jamie Preddy, Build Team Leader, who works alongside his brother, Jacob, supervising a team of fifteen on the shop floor.
My name is Jamie Preddy. My role is uh just become team leader of build. I was just a regular operative working on the build benches, building all the doors, but obviously I've taken the new role of being a team leader.
What responsibilities do you have?
It entails controlling about 15 lads on the shop floor with my brother Jacob.
What do you enjoy about working at Strong Door?
Just the crack you can have with the lads. It gets you through the day, and its part and parcel of the job. Gets you through it.
If you could learn anything, what would it be?
Probably another language. It's quite attractive having another language.
Is there anywhere that you'd like to travel in the world?
Thailand, Australia, Bali, France.
How would people describe you in three words?
Happy, reliable, and adventurous.
