At Strongdor, the importance of health and work-life balance is widely recognised. International Self-Care Day provided the perfect opportunity to reinforce the value of wellbeing and self-care in the workplace.
On 23rd and 24th July, treatments were organised for all 160 Strongdor staff members who wished to take part by the HR team. Roots Corporate Wellness visited Strongdor’s Northgate and Southgate sites over the two days, offering staff a choice of Indian head massage, reflexology or a back, neck and shoulder massage. This gave the team the perfect opportunity to take a moment during the working day to relax, step away from their work and do something for themselves.
Amy Burrow, Strongdor HR Director, said, ‘It was a fantastic couple of days, giving the team an opportunity to step away from their usual routines and enjoy a treatment of their choice. Even those who didn’t take part commented on the relaxing atmosphere created by the calming scents of the essential oils. The event was such a success that we would gladly welcome the team back again in the future. We enjoy offering experiences that are a little different from the norm and this one was extremely well received, with every available appointment filled across both days. We even kicked off Friday with a group stretching session, which helped strengthen team connections even further.’
Strongdor is committed to creating a positive workplace culture where employee wellbeing is valued and supported. Initiatives such as International Self-Care Day highlight the importance of taking time to recharge, while reinforcing Strongdor’s ongoing focus on supporting the health, happiness and work-life balance of its team.
