At Strongdor, we believe in continuous improvement of our products and the industry. That's why we're proud to announce that our Managing Director, Terry James, has contributed to the development of a new competency framework for the installation of fire-rated products, working alongside the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and industry representatives.
Designed to support the competency requirements introduced through the Building Safety Act, the framework provides a clear foundation for training and developing installers working with fire-rated products, including fire-rated steel doors. By defining the knowledge, skills, and behaviours expected of installers, the framework aims to help raise standards and create greater consistency across the sector.
The framework represents an important step forward for the industry, helping organisations establish clear competency steps while supporting the wider objective of improving building safety.
